Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday, is less than two weeks away. And while it will be a done on a smaller scale this year than in the past, I am no less excited! Honestly, for someone who so obviously likes food and drink as much as I do, how could there be a better holiday? Pies, stuffing (or dressing), gravy, brussels sprouts...and turkey. I love it all. And I love to cook it all almost more than I like to eat it.
So, as we are within a fortnight of this fabulous festivity, I thought today would be a great day to post a Turkey Day-oriented recipe. And this one is the recipe I use every year; Julia Child's Stuffed Turkey (updated by America's Test Kitchen). It not only features a collaboration between two cooking idols of mine-Julia Child and the great chefs at ATK-it is easily one of the tastiest turkey recipes I've encountered. Yes, it will take a little more work, but as Alton Brown (another culinary TV mentor of mine) says, your patience will be rewarded. Slicable dark meat, drippings infused stuffing, juicy breast meat...honestly, it's amazing.
